This was my first time having to plan a funeral. Ellis funeral home walked me and my siblings throughout the whole experience. Craig Ellis was very personable and has deep roots in the community. I would highly recommend them!

I would highly recommend this place. They walked us through the entire process step by step. Even with the insurance the part. They went and picked up our father quickly. He had a really bad infection you could smell while he was alive but not on funeral day. (I was worried about that, as I had a bad experience with another family member and infection years ago at another funeral home service) They made my father look great like he looked 20yrs ago prior to getting sick. Most importantly he looked like himself and at peace. They made us feel like family during this difficult time. Stayed in communication with us on everything. I’ve told my boys when I go this is who I want to have me. It’s family owned and very very personable, having to be the one to make final arrangements for a love one is very stressful. But thanks to Ellis the process went smoothly allowing more time to grieve and focus on other things. A HUGE THANK YOU TO ELLIS FUNERAL HOME FOR TAKING CARE OF OUR FATHER LIKE HE WAS ONE OF YOUR OWN, AND MAKING THIS DIFFICULT TIME EASIER ON US. Love Heaven & the Kimbley Family!

I was very pleased with the excellent service I received in my time of need. Everyone at the funeral home welcomed my family and friends. I had the service at the funeral home, it was all I expected and more, my family who were there from Texas, New Jersey and North Carolina was pleased as well. THANK YOU ALL FOR EVERYTHING. MY HUSBAND WILL REST WELL... I would without a doubt recommend your services. THANK YOU!

I never thought I would be reviewing a funeral home but here I am. Pay attention to the bad reviews. The owner is incredibly rude. Though I guess that can also be seen as a positive since my family and those in attendance were momentarily distracted from our grief to acknowledge how horrible we were being treated. As soon as we arrive we are being told that those who use canes and walkers can not allowed to use them on the ramp to the front door. The funeral was for a 90 year old. Obviously many in attendance needed walking aids. But no. The ramp had just been redone so they didn't want it to get scuffed. The literal GROUND was more important. There solution was to take those with walking aids all the way around the back. I was so astonished by the treatment I was at a lost for words. Then my sister asks for an extra funeral program for someone who didn't get one. He asked where they were seated and then snapped that they had already gotten one. Why on earth does that matter one way or the other. When people are there they are experiencing one of the worse days of their lives. Acknowledge that and treat them with grace and respect. If you are incapable of that then you shouldn't
